Kenya to End Visa Requirements for African Visitors by 2023

In a move echoing the spirit of Pan-Africanism, Kenya’s President, William Ruto, has announced an end to visa requirements for all African visitors to the country by 2023.

This declaration is a significant step towards the African Union’s (AU) long-cherished dream of seamless intracontinental travel, a vision only Seychelles, The Gambia, and Benin currently embody.

The announcement was made at an international conference in Congo Brazzaville, where President Ruto underscored the debilitating effect of visa restrictions on business and entrepreneurship.
